A bilingual (Arabic / English) patient-education portal for kidney transplant recipients across the Arab world. Built on the Kuwait Center for Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation (KCNKT) Ibn Sina patient handbook, the portal walks recipients through preparation, the transplant operation, the early post-operative period, anti-rejection medications, daily life on immunosuppression, and long-term follow-up. Each chapter is available with audio narration in both languages.

Decision-Aid Tools for Recipients
Three interactive tools support daily decisions: a Ramadan fasting tool that helps recipients work out — with their transplant team — whether and how to fast safely, a drug-food interaction lookup that flags common interactions with tacrolimus and cyclosporine, and a red-flag symptom triage that tells recipients when to call the transplant clinic urgently versus wait until the next routine visit.

The portal is published by the Arab Society of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation (ASNRT) and is open access. The clinical content is adapted from the KCNKT Ibn Sina patient handbook — Kuwait's national transplant patient education resource — and reviewed by practicing transplant nephrologists. The portal is designed for adult kidney transplant recipients and their families.
