Childhood-Onset Lupus Nephritis: Unique Aspects and Challenges in Management

This Kidney International review explains how childhood-onset lupus nephritis differs from adult disease. Children have evolving immune systems and a larger genetic contribution, and because they have rarely been included in trials, newer agents approved for adults (belimumab, obinutuzumab, voclosporin) remain seldom used in pediatric care.
